GRAVIOLA is a name that has been widely discussed in almost all internet forums, blogs, web sites etc. related to medical treatment, especially in the field of Oncology. There are hundreds of thousands of testimonials and claims authenticating the fact that GRAVIOLA is a sure panacea for the cancer disease which is one of the most dreaded ills in the modern history of mankind. This South American tree and its fruit are believed to have been used very successfully in killing cancer cells across the entire globe. The botanical classification of the tree is as follows:
It belongs to the family of Annonaceae with the Genus of Annona under the Species of Muricata, known also under the Synonyms of Annona Macrocarpa,Guanabanus Muricatus and the Common names of Graviola, Soursop, Brazilian paw paw etc. and the parts believed to be used are its leaves, fruit, seeds, bark and roots. Some of the most active elements scientifically researched, testified and confirmed with regard to Graviola are a group of Annonaceous Acetogenins only to be found in the family of Annonaceae and to this great family does our graviola belongs.
A brief report on the herbal properties and actions of the Graviola will definitely help those who are concerned about the cancer disease and long awaiting a practical cure for the same.
The main actions of the medicine prepared from graviola are killing the cancer cells, the bacteria, parasites and viruses, slowing down the tumor growth, relieving depression, reducing spasms, blood pressure and fever, stimulating digestion and dilating blood vessels.
The standard dosage of the medicine is prescribed as infusion of 1 cup 3 times daily, tincture of 2-4 ml. 3 times daily and capsules of 2 g 3 times daily.
Graviola is a small tree upright and evergreen, growing 5-6 m high with large, glossy, dark green leaves. Its fruit with around 20 cm in diameter is generally edible and yellow green in colour with white flesh inside. The tree is native to most of the warmest tropical regions in South and North America including the Amazon. The fruit is sold in the local markets with the name as guanĂ¡banain Spanish-speaking countries and graviola in Brazil.
Graviola has both tribal and herbal medicine uses.
The tree with its bark, leaves, roots, fruit and fruit seeds are used in natural medicine and each of these parts has certain special properties and uses such as killer of worms and parasites, fever coolant, enhancer of mother's milk after childbirth, astringent for diarrhea and dysentery, remover of head lice, sedative, antispasmodic, hypotensive etc. In herbal medicine also this tree is reported to have been widely used in certain parts of the globe. The graviola leaf tea is very famous in some regions of the Amazon where it is used for a lot of diseases such as rheumatism, asthma, arthritis etc.
The Chemical Properties of the Graviola
Since almost the year 1940 or so, the scientific world has been very seriously researching on the various uses of this Graviola, with the result that many active chemical compounds have been found in it, the most spectacular among them being Annonaceous Acetogenins produced in the stem, bark, fruit and fruit seeds of this tree. These chemical components have some very great properties namely the antitumorous characteristics which can be substantially utilized for the production of a very significant cancer cure. One very spectacular achievement in this direction was that the cure so produced could undoubtedly be relied upon, because of its special nature of keeping the healthy cells intact while performing its activation. This finding was indeed a serendipitous move in their research. Even at a very low dosage the medicine could work out miraculous achievement by creating selective toxicity to the cancer cells, that is the healthy cells in the adjoining areas of the body of the patient would not be affected at all, with the medication of this cure, a characteristic so widely acclaimed in the scientific and medical world at a time when a cure, if at all there was one, could hardly be completely relied upon simply because of the very nature of its non-selective quality. Graviola has come to the aid of the entire humanity in that case.
What accounts for this particular quality of graviola?
Acetogenin, the chemical component extracted from the graviola treeis a very successful enzyme inhibitor, decreasing the enzyme activity in the membranes of the cancerous cells, while remaining passive in the case of the healthy cells. Purdue University, Indiana, has progressed so much more in their research on the tree, the chemical component and its quality.

How the Universe
was Created
and Our Purpose In It
The Eastern Answers to the Mysteries of Life
by Stephen Knapp
This book provides answers and details about how the universe is created that are not available in any other traditions, religions, or areas of science. It also provides insights into the spiritual purpose of this creation and what we are really meant to do here.
Every culture in the world and most religions have their own description of the creation of the universe, from where we came, and what we should do. Unfortunately, these are often short and generalized versions that lack details. Thus, they are often given the same regard as myths. However, there are descriptions that give more elaborate explanations of how the cosmic creation fully manifested, which are found in the ancient Vedic texts and Puranas of India, some of the oldest spiritual writings on the planet. These descriptions provide details and answers that other versions leave out. Furthermore, these Vedic descriptions often agree, and sometimes disagree, with the modern scientific theories of creation, and offer some factors that science has yet to consider.
Now, with this book, one of the first to ever elaborate on the Vedic version of the universal creation, we can get a clearer understanding of how this universe appears, what is its real purpose, from where we really came, how we fit into the plan for the universe, and if there is a way out of here. Some of the topics included are: Conditions in the spiritual world before the material manifestation.
How the Supreme Being exists before and after the material creation.
The ultimate foundation and cause of the universe is based on compassion of the Supreme.
How the agitation of the modes of nature cause the appearance of time.
Detailed descriptions of the dawn of creation and how the material energy developed and caused the formation of the cosmos.
The Vedic description of the evolutionary development of the various forms of life.
Manifestation and purpose of the Vedic literature, the blueprints of the cosmos and life within.
Deep insights into the primal questions of, "Who am I? Why am I here? Where have I come from? What is the purpose of this universe and my life? Why the creation exists?"
What is the primary source of the material as well as spiritual elements.
The many incarnations and expansions of the Supreme Being in the material creation.
How everything is but an expansion of the Absolute, and much more.
This book will provide some of the most profound insights into these questions and topics. It will also give any theist more information and understanding about how the universe is indeed a creation of God.
To add some adventure, there is also a special travel section to the holy places of northern India, and to some of the locations that are directly connected to the Indian legends of the universal creation and ancient history. With this tour is included rare descriptions and over 70 photographs of temples, Deities, ancient holy sites, the Himalayas, along with sages and people of the region. The book is 310 pages, trim size 6" x 9", with Index, References, and Glossary.

Is there true atheism?
Is there true atheism?
What is atheism? Is there any atheist out there in the true sense of the term? The answer has to be in the negative. In fact nobody can be a true atheist even if he/she purposely wishes so. Because by the very nature of this universe, this macrocosm, even the infinitesimally small living or non living or human or non human organism is in its eternal trajectory in search of the ultimate goal namely enjoyment of the absolute bliss which can have its definitive source in the Omnipotent and Almighty God who is the very embodiment of the final intelligence, the incarnation of the entire cosmic dispensation, the very personification of the supreme wisdom by which everything moves in its original, unique orbit.
So, the so called professed atheists are really not atheists themselves. Why do some claim to be theists and some others to be atheists? It is because of the intrinsic and inborn idiosyncrasies inherent in individuals and which cannot and need not normally be thwarted by an external intelligent agency. Each human cell or rather its chromosomal subdivision vibrates organically and metaphysically alike with certain unique and distinctive characteristics which constitute the initial multiplicity and the ultimate unity or non-duality of the elliptical enigma.
Man is in constant quest for the ever receding mirage of happiness, the ambrosia of the gods and goddesses, in every action he/she undertakes from the cradle to the grave. In fact growth, evolution or the so called progress evolves from the acute sense of discontent and dissatisfaction man is known to have been suffering from his/her childhood. As he/ she is in this mood of displeasure, every moment of his or her life is surrendered for the enjoyment of this nectar and from one step to another ever on the rungs of the progressive ladder towards eternity. This constant quest for the seemingly deceptive goal ultimately takes you to your source, the supreme authority, the primal and primordial fountain of the ever ecstatic and blissful ocean of joy unbounded and unqualified, impeccable and immaculate.
There you are in perfect unison with God, with your eternal father, your immortal and perpetual source. You become one with Him, become merged and dissolved into Him, nay, you become Him, you are Him. This inseparable and indissoluble entity is the mystery of the universe, the mystic answer to all questions, the panacea for all ills of the past, present and future, the ultimate reality, the ever true, the super duper intelligence governing billions and billions of galaxies which move along in their respective orbits.
Thus, isn’t it clear that there is no true atheist or no pure agnostic of the genuine order. Some merely claim to be so, for mere fun of such claims. No human being can withstand the irresistible tendency to be in enjoyment of the perfect happiness which God alone can provide us with, because He is beauty, truth, and happiness and the ultimate resultant peace thereof.
'Beauty is truth, truth beauty,' - that is all ye know on earth, and all ye need to know. As John Keats has put it.

A serendipitous find is quite a wonderful thing in life. It is quite rare that we come across such delightful godsend life moments. The pleasure of facing such a situation is marvelous indeed especially when we very much are in need of a similar thing and at the same time we haven't the resources or the wildest of hope that one day we would come across such a one. It is quite interesting to note that the very word serendipity itself has become something serendipitous in the sense that the real meaning or more complexly the various shades of meaning which this word generates and hence the task of an apt translation of the same into any other language or an academically satisfying definition to the word has become something quite perplexing to the linguists and academicians and all those lovers of the English Language globally.
The word serendipity has now come to be used as a predisposition of the human mind or rather the personality which finds itself in vortexes of fortuitous discoveries while in fact in search of some unrelated and remotely related things. The other day, my friend John, who has been a very successful tiller, while tilling his farm house, became a centre of attraction by the entire villagers because of the serendipitous fortune that he came across. Hardly had he tilled the land for half an hour, on a sunny day, in the morning after the breakfast, that a small box quite shattered and smashed and covered with full of rust and mud and earth worms, was furrowed out. Drops of sweat oozing from his scorched head had in fact covered his eyes blocking clear sight of anything that was in front of him. But the sound of the dilapidated box falling against a drum of water nearby just engrossed his otherwise wavering attention.
Looking around casually for something terrible, John saw to his entire bewilderment and puzzlement a few gold coins fall jingling and jangling down on an iron spade lying on the ground near the water drum. John for a moment could not believe his eyes and suddenly coming near the spade stooped down to pick up one coin and see to himself and convince himself that he was right in his waking sense and not in a dream or a reverie. Such was the intensity of emotion that overcame poor John in his mid forties who since childhood had been known to the neighbours as a man of quite integrity and piety in such great magnitude that at last the Providence had heard his prayers and bestowed him with 250 gold coins which might have been hidden in some secret coffer there in the that land centuries ago by his ancestors thinking that one day their great grandson might need it for his living. So, with this serendipity John became a very popular figure in the entire neighbourhood and the adjoining villages and our friendship continued for so long.
Similar serendipitous episodes I have a lot in my memory but later on I would relate them.
Serendipity is of great and multifunctional shades of meaning with nuances and niceties of language. Please visit my blog: http://www.easternstreams.blogspot.com.

The most attractive gestures men love women to extend to them are those which can generate respect and an irresistible passion by which the fairer ones can be judged always in any company be it at home or in any social circles. Normally speaking, no man in the world loves to see a woman with volatile femininity especially at the very first sight. Though sex is an irresistible passion with men by which they are gravitated towards women, men want it to be explored with pain and the sense of fulfillment thereof.
Men really love and delight in setting out on a hard and adventurous exploration in search of the real stuff from the womenfolk, not that they want to see it in the showcase, but by ransacking the entire niches of their resources, a fortune indeed it should be. Otherwise, what thrill, what delight, what charm is there in simply a woman being an object for the gratification of a man? Man is essentially an adventurous being, and so if there is nothing to be explored or if there is no challenge to undertake, normally he cannot enjoy his life. So, women, beware of the behavioral patterns while in the company of your husbands or male friends or colleagues. Just a sweet and radiant beam of smile will work out miracles indeed. You will surely be surprised to see the comprehensive effects of that simple beam of smile in a few seconds.
Most often, men do not understand how a lady has to be cajoled into a fine tuned point of resonance where marvels and wonders can be worked out, where a virtual heaven can be built, where the ocean of honey can be materialized, where a fountain of the feminine nectarine dews synchronized with the misty fog and the moon blanched and stellar night can be concocted in such abundant and aesthetically exuberant measure that even the gods and goddesses, the elves, imps, pixies, sprites, gnomes, fairies, hobgoblins, the blood sucking vampires and fire spitting multi hooded, flame fluttering gremlins would delight in.
Do ladies generally love to be hoodwinked by their husbands?
Modern psychological studies.
Modern psychological studies try to vindicate this theory that the softer skin and nicer tissues and serener fibers and calmer realms and thinner layers and inner and remoter planes always exuberantly and extravagantly love and delight in being suppressed upon, trodden upon, smashed upon, broken upon and into smithereens, pounded and thundered and powdered upon. When it comes to politics and society and life in general, it is transmitted into the geographical, political, religious, philosophical, intellectual, and even physical dimensions, culminating in people's instinctive and intrinsic orientation towards subjugation just as it happens in the case of many a democratic nation of the world. So, a mere gender suppression at the individual level at last results in the entire slavery of the human personality, human life. It is this basic life instinct of the fairer ones which ultimately led to the collapse of the entire civilizations of the yester years and the emergence of a comparatively harder, though not stronger, less progressive, and more criminalized and evil mongering society or world dispensation.
This article has been published after a thorough study of the human personality especially in relation to women. Men always like their womenfolk to be submissive, meek and polite and at the same time not self explanatory in the sense that their femininity has to be a part of the great exploration men love to undertake.

These days, the way that I sleep simply says, "I am happy to be single and spending five to seven hours sprawled out in the center of my bed alone."At other points, my tightly squeezed eyes and curled-up body would have screamed, "I know the baby will wake up/someone will start snoring/the alarm will begin blaring as soon as I finally, finally, finally get to sleep."Years and years ago, the corpse-looking college student still in her clothes would have mumbled something like, "Finals. Boys. Beer."Our lives, the amount of sleep we get, and how well we actually rest during those nighttime hours may change drastically over time. However, one sleep researcher says that our body position in bed could say something about who we are, not just what else is happening in our lives.Professor Chris Idzikowski, director of the Sleep Assessment and Advisory Service, says that a study of 1,000 Brits revealed that the six most common sleeping positions are indicative of personality types. If this sounds ridiculous (and honestly, I'd love to see information on this study and the analysis fleshed out further than any of the reports I could find), consider that Idzikowski says it comes down to body language.
"We are all aware of our body language when we are awake but this is the first time we have been able to see what our subconscious posture says about us," Idzikowski said. "What's interesting is that the profile behind the posture is often very different from what we would expect."
The research also links certain sleeping positions with health risks. Some aid digestion while others spur on snoring and restlessness.
Here are the six common sleeping positions and correlated personality traits and health implications, according to this study.

Fetus position - A whopping 41% of participants sleep in this curled-up manner. Women are twice as likely to rest like this and it is listed as the most common position. These sleepers are said to have a tough exterior but are still sensitive and may appear to be shy but warm up quickly.
Log position - If you sleep on your side with both arms down, you are a social, easy-going person who is trusting, sometimes to the point of being gullible. The study showed 15% of people sleep like a log.
Yearner position - A close third is the side-lying position with both arms out in front of the body, with 13% of partipants sleeping like this. Yearners are noted to be open-minded and still cynical, suspicious, and stubborn about sticking to decisions once they are made.
Soldier position - These sleepers lie on their backs with arms down and kept close to the body. This 8% study is said to be reserved, quiet, without fuss, and hold themselves and others to a high standard. Soldier sleepers have a higher likelihood for snoring due to the flat-back position, which may not cause them to wake up often but may result in a less restful night's sleep.
Freefall position - Those people who lie on their bellies with arms under or wrapped around a pillow with head turned to the side, make up 7% of the population studied. Freefallers are brash, outgoing, and are very uncomfortable with criticism.
Starfish position - Sleepers who lie on their backs with arms up near their head or the pillow account for 5% of participants. These people are good listeners, helpful, and are uncomfortable being the center of attention. People who sleep in starfish position are more likely to snore and to suffer from a poor night's sleep more often. If you think you are one of those people who move through all of these positions, that's not likely to really be the case. Idzikowski said the research reveals most people stay in the same position all night and only 5% lay differently night by night. Also interesting is that the study showed only one in ten people cover their bodies entirely with a blanket, with most people exposing an arm, leg, or both feet.Let's see how the Shine readers are resting these days. No need to get yourself to a sleep lab or set up the video cam to run all night. We'll take your word for it on our own not-so-scientific but still fascinating research. What position do you sleep in? Use the poll to tell us and the comments to reveal whether the personality traits linked to the way you sleep are right on or really off.[photo credit: Getty Images]

Some or all of these. I'm a crazy sleeper.
None of these. I'll explain in the comments.

The Real Man
When two persons meet each other, in fact six persons are present there. The person as you appear to the other, the person as you appear to yourself and the person as you are really are. in other words, what you think of yourself and what another thinks of you and what you really are , are quite different from one another. Actually this is nothing but the misleading appearance of real in an unreal form.

ROMANTIC POEMS FOR TRUE LOVE
All I ever wanted is in you:
Love, laughter, a pillow for my fears.
I want to give and to be given to
So I might feel myself flow through the years
Alive in you, the wonder of my tears.
I do not know you well, but what I know
Enchants me, like a song sung far away.
I cannot hear the words, but what they say
Hangs softly on the hills where I must go.
I see you furtively and note your eyes,
Hazel and dreamy, your spirit half elsewhere;
I note the sheen of your dark, lustrous hair
And wish I knew your thoughts and shared your cries.
This love brings me sweet pain, but I want more,
Driven by a dream I can't control.
I want the truth of you, untamed and whole;
In frantic hope I haunt your open door.
Beautiful eyes, beautiful face,
I'm shy to talk to you.
You're the eagle I must watch
No matter what I do.
You're the beauty, wild and free,
The mistress of my eyes,
Rolling through exultant air,
Alone in pristine skies.
I would take you for my own
Could I but have your wings,
Could I but go where night begins
And frozen sunlight sings.
Could I but have you for my love,
How might we fly together!
But I must watch you from below
And long for you forever.
But I must be the one below
And long for you forever.
-- Short Romantic Love Poems --
I know I hardly know you,
But I think that I may love you.
You can see the way I look at you
And know.
I know you have a girlfriend,
But I think we can be happy,
So take the time to find out
If it's so.
I know we don't have much time,
But I think it's just enough;
If you'd like to take a chance on me,
Let's go!
When you said, "I love you,"
I went over the moon.
My heart sang its glory,
The stars sang in tune.
As when with a word
God brought forth light,
So with these words
You ended my night.
So with these words
You made something new:
A bond of devotion
Between me and you.
How powerful words
To shape who we are!
We ponder in silence;
Our words cross a bar.
Your words crossed a threshold
And entered the past,
Yet they have created
A world that will last.
-- Short Romantic Love Poems --
First love is like playing with fire:
Aglow with pain and glory.
Tell me, my dear first love,
Whether I'm burned into your heart.
The fire in your body,
The glory of your touch:
Ah! my dear first love,
Never, never leave my heart!
Although the fire is distant,
The pain is always near.
My dear first love, please listen:
I hold you in my heart.
Do not doubt I love you, even though
My actions may have undermined my words.
We could be as connubial as birds
Had I not let my wild longings show.
I cannot help wanting to devour
All the world that comes before my eyes;
But more than all the world is that which lies
Within the precious circle of our bower.
I'll do anything to keep you with me;
Our love will last as long as you have will.
Despite my untamed need, my love is still
A rock against the surges of the sea.
I love you with all I am
And all I'll ever be.
You are my moon, my sun and stars,
My earth, my sky, my sea.
My love for you goes down and down
Beneath both life and death,
So deep it must remain when I
Have drawn my last faint breath.
Holding you for months and years
Will make Time disappear,
Will make your lips my lips, your face
My face, your tear my tear;
Will make us one strange personage
All intertwined in bliss,
Not man or woman, live or dead--
Just nothing--but a kiss!
Love, laughter, a pillow for my fears.
I want to give and to be given to
So I might feel myself flow through the years
Alive in you, the wonder of my tears.
I do not know you well, but what I know
Enchants me, like a song sung far away.
